The Visa Application Centre in Paris is open Monday to Friday. It is closed on French and Indian Bank Holidays.

Please note: the urgent application procedure applies only to certain cases. Please consult our Processing Times page for more information.

The urgent application counter closes at precisely 11:00 am so that passports can be sent immediately to the Embassy of India. We kindly ask applicants to do the necessary to arrive before this time. Sending passports to the Embassy will, under no circumstances, be delayed.

The urgent applications will be available the same evening as soon as they are returned to us by the Embassy of India. The exact time of arrival depends entirely on the Embassy of India: our estimation is 17h30. However, it is mandatory to be present in our premises and have collected a waiting ticket strictly before the closure of our centre (18:00).

Please note that on certain occasions during the high season, you may experience a waiting time that goes beyond our usual opening timings. Naturally, urgent applications not collected on the same day remain available the next day at normal collection times. In order to avoid a potentially long waiting time, we would encourage you to collect your urgent application in the afternoon of the next working day, if this is possible for you.
